New/Old hobby

Well, I started sewing again. ... I forgot how relaxing it is to sew something... that is if your machine is working and you already have it cut out! along with sewing stuff I have been doing a lot of searching on the internet for ideas and such. I just found this really cool website and the lady has some serious talent (sewing) plus a lot of give aways! I never win anything but it would be really nice to win something once in a while.

well back to making cookies!

Wow, time flys!

I must try to get my blog updated more often!

Tristan went to the AAU JR Olympics. He threw 88 feet 4 inches in discus and came in 9th place in his age group of all the kids in the USA!!!! He had an off day in shot put but he still came in 26th place in his age group in the kids in the USA. Not too shabby.

Tristan started junior high, he is doing JR High and Crown Point JR. Bulldogs football. 2 football leagues back to back practises and he has lost some weight.

Bobby will be starting college tomorrow. I feel so old my baby is all grown up!
He is still working on driving us nuts!

The dogs are fine, spoiled rotten, mean cat..

Hubby and I celebrated our 20th wedding aniversary today! I have been married to Bob for almost half of my life.

We have been so addicted to the olympics. Tristan's head coach's son, David Neville, won a bronze in the Mens 400m, and then he won a Gold in the Men's 4X400m relay!!! Yah Way to Go David!!!! We are so sad the olympics are over. Another 4 years now....

More July 4th photos

Its July already

Wow, June was a huge month. Bobby graduated from high school, he is completely signed up for college (Purdue Calumet). Tristan finished a crappy baseball season Thanks Coach! Then he went to football camp, then to the state compition for AAU Track and Field, followed up for a weekend Fourth at the Regional AAU competion. And we are on to AAU JR. Olympics!!! Congrats Tristan on the great achievement. Now if I can only get Bobby to wake up in the mornings......

A great blog, for us in love with crock pot cooking

I am in love with crockpot cooking. Nothing like putting in a bunch of stuff, putting the lid on and leaving. Only to come home to a wonderful meal and having the house smell so good, but not be hot! So imagine my delight when I found this blog
http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/
imagine a year of using your crock pot every day!!! I have tried out several recipes from this blog already
Crockpot breakfast risotto... mmm, mine turned out like applesauce oatmeal, but MUCH better. And Crockpot bacon and cheese chicken... It was soo good I had to force myself and Bobby to stop eating it so Bob could have some for supper last night. Next I plan on following the directions/recipe for crockpot lasagne! Maybe I can try out most of the recipes... beats trying to figure out what to make, I could just follow along with her recipes.....

I think I am a foodie

Ok, for the last several months I have been watching the Food Channel like crazy. Now I find myself looking at food/recipe blogs... Yummmyyy. So I have decided to post some of my family's favorite recipes.

Breakfast caserole with gravy

1 pound of turkey sausage

1 bag of frozen southern style hashbrowns, 2 pounds worth

1 small onion diced

2 cans of cream of mushroom soup

1/2 can of milk

8 eggs

8 ounces of cheese.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

cook sausage and onion until well done. Add some garlic if you like garlic

pour frozen hashbrowns into 9X13 baking pan

Mix eggs, 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup and the half of can of milk together.

when sausage and onions are cooked drain grease, then pour over potatoes. Then pour the liquid ingrediants on top. Top with cheese. Bake in the preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Let sit for a while. It will still be kinda runny, but thats the gravy.
